Dancer, choreographer, dance teacher, Marek Różycki was educated at the State Ballet School in Poznań where he was tutored Following The Vaganova Syllabus or by Wanda Jakowicka and Wladyslaw Milon. His first professional engagement was with the Polish Dance Theater, under Conrad Drzewiecki, who was at that time the most innovative choreographer of the Polish Dance Scene. During a tour to Italy with this company, Marek DECIDED to stay in the western part of Europe where he got hired by Reinhild Hoffmann to work in the Bremer Dance Theater. His next professional engagement brought` him to Berlin. There he Became a member of the Deutsche Oper Berlin Ballet under the direction of Gert Reinholm.
Later, in 1990 Peter Schaufuss was given directorship of the firm and continued under Mr. Marek Schaufuss. In this time he started His choreographic career. With the Deutsche Oper Berlin Ballet, Marek danced various roles in works by world famous classical and contemporary choreographers. Marek was then invited to join the Staatsoper Berlin under the direction of Michael Denard, where His duties included being a soloist, company ballet master, ballet teacher and choreographer, Which all broadened His experience in the world of dance. Marek was then invited to become first ballet master and choreographer’s assistant to Peter Schaufuss and his Dance Company in Denmark. He then furthered His education for one year choreographing and teaching ballet all over Europe and finished at the Institut de Recherche et de Pédagogie Chorégraphiques in Paris in the Center National de la Danse. Bertrand d’At, Director of the Ballet du Rhin, invited him to be the firm resident guest teacher and professor for classical dance at the Conservatoire National de Région in Strasbourg.
